Rhythm is a born and raised Winnipeg girl! She loves her family, serving the Church and all things volleyball. She's passionate about God's heart for justice and inviting others to the same.

Harvey Rempel

Harvey Rempel has been living in, learning from & serving communities of poverty for the past 25 years. Over the past 18 years he has been working as a Community Minister for Inner City Youth Alive in the heart of Winnipeg’s North End, where he and his wife Rhonda have raised their two kids Jesse (19) and Brooklyn (17). His role often includes walking alongside others and helping them discover that God is not just another voice in a chorus that’s condemning them, telling them they are worth nothing, but that God is on their side, wanting to bring forgiveness, healing, restoration, hope and new life!

David Pollendine

David Pollendine is IJM,'s National Director of Development. Born and raised in the UK, he came to Canada with his family and started working for IJM in 2017. David is a trained teacher, actor and cut his teeth as a fundraiser working for Christian Aid and St. John Ambulance in the UK. Before coming to Canada, David ran his own theatre company writing and directing plays for schools and using drama as a vehicle for transformation, He also spent 10 years in the Czech Republic pioneering a National Student Christian movement (UKH) during the 90’s. David lives in Winnipeg and is married to Irfana and has two children, Zara (18) and Zane (15), and a faithful dog called Biscuit.

Often we imagine Jesus as gentle, loving and extremely kind. While that is true to His nature, we often don't reflect on the side of Jesus that was passionate for His people. The person who flipped tables at injustice and advocated for all. In this workshop, we're going to tackle God's heart for social justice and learn from the model Jesus gave us.
